In 2022, our culinary preferences manifest themselves in a return to tradition, a search for savings and conscious choices. We buy sensibly, reduce waste, pay attention to quality and reuse existing products, in line with the zero waste trend. We remember with fondness the kitchens of our grandmothers, who, out of respect for food and economic considerations, never wasted food.

A sentimental journey through time, or food nostalgia
In our busy everyday lives, we often long for carefree childhood moments and blissful tranquillity. For a moment's respite and to make us feel better, we like to cultivate our gardens or grow plants on our balconies. The familiar and much-loved aromas of homemade yeast dough, bigos, goulash or meatballs help us return to our culinary roots. We eagerly reach for dishes we have known since childhood, with simple, undemanding but very healthy ingredients, in the preparation of which our grandmothers were masters.

This sentimental journey back in time is a much deeper experience than traditional comfort food, and the trend gaining popularity is called nostalgia food.

However, we miss more than just our childhood. It is not uncommon for us to recall with sentimentality distant and exotic journeys to the faraway places of South America, the Orient or extraordinary Asia. It is the unforgettable taste and smell of the specialities there - chakalaka, Tex-Mex or chachochbili - that brings back unforgettable moments.

Like at grandma's: ready-made meals in jars
Frequent travelling, business trips or weekend getaways mean that the possibility of eating a tasty dinner is limited. It is also often the case that there is not enough time for home cooking and that eating out in restaurants every day is quite expensive. In such cases, pasteurised meals sealed in jars, which gained new life during the pandemic, are a great choice. Ready-made dishes such as stews or meatballs are a convenient and quick option for a tasty and interesting dinner.

The jar is undoubtedly associated with traditional, homemade products, just like at grandma's house. It allows us to see what is really hidden inside. As conscious consumers, we read labels and pay more and more attention to ingredients. In addition, glass containers contain no harmful substances and do not react with food ingredients. What is more, they can be reused many times, in line with the eco-friendly trend.

The PROMAR offer includes a wide range of components such as seasoning mixes, aromas or sauces for the production of ready-made, pasteurised, sterilised dishes in jars – goulash and meatballs. So traditional pork hunter's stew and meatballs in dill sauce, just like grandma's?  Or Mexican pork chilli con carne or Georgian chachochbili with chicken, bringing back memories of culinary experiences from distant journeys?

We are sure that our ready-made dishes will pleasantly surprise many discerning palates.

Our sales staff will be happy to present the full offer of PROMAR ready-made dishes, feel free to contact us!
